Variblock protects the Gäubodenfest in Straubing

From August 8 to 18, 2025, Straubing will once again be home to Bavaria’s second largest folk festival – the Gäubodenfest. Around 27,500 seats in seven festival tents await more than 1.3 million visitors from all over the world.

To ensure that all guests can celebrate carefree, we at A2W have implemented comprehensive security measures in close cooperation with the police. Our certified Variblock mobile vehicle barriers are used to ensure optimum protection of the festival site.

The Variblock systems have successfully passed the ISO 22343-1 crash test. They can be set up in just a few minutes, moved effortlessly if necessary thanks to modern hydraulics and are robust, weatherproof and particularly durable.
Individual design options – from special paintwork and city coats of arms to advertising foils or flower boxes – blend harmoniously into the festive ambience.

In an emergency, escape routes can be cleared quickly without having to dismantle the barriers completely. In this way, we offer maximum safety combined with maximum operational flexibility.
